IAIM® TRAINER
Amanda Jane Hussein

Amanda began her career in the spa industry as a stylist and educator, and became drawn to massage because it felt like the most beneficial thing she could do for her clients in that particular setting.

Most recently, as a volunteer with the Heart Touch Project, a non-profit service and education organization dedicated to bringing compassionate and healing touch to men, women and children that are homebound, hospitalized, or in hospice care, Amanda is a volunteer CIMI® with Trinity Kids Care, working in-home with children in hospice, and an integral member of the research corps of volunteers working to establish and maintain the Integrative Touch Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Through her work there, she has had the opportunity to work as a CIMI® in the CNICC (formerly NICU), as a massage therapist in the Rehab department, and in outreach programs offering chair massage to parents, caregivers and other staff at the hospital.

Currently, they are working to implement an infant massage instruction program for parents of children with Spina-Bifida, and for parents and children dealing with the rigorous treatment of Retinoblastoma.

Amanda has been practicing, teaching and continuing her own study of various aspects of massage therapy and bodywork since 1990, and is a Mom, and actively working in a Physical Therapy clinic in La Cañada, CA.
