Rena has been a pediatric occupational therapist for the last 23 years.  She has worked with all ages of children Birth to 21 and with their families /or caregivers. She was inspired by her older brother growing up to help children while they are young.  Her brother David has autism and he is 53 years old and he had limited opportunities growing up in a rural area of South Alabama. As an occupational therapist Rena’ has worked in the public school system and private practice. She has owned her own business in the last 14 years, the Pediatric Therapy Center in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and manages 5 pediatric clinics for occupational therapists. The other clinics are located in Crestview, S. Walton, Milton and Gulf Breeze, Florida. She works closely with a team of parents/caregivers, physical therapists, speech pathologists, case coordinators, nurses, teachers, physicians, etc. in the panhandle of Florida to serve children. Infant Massage has been a great asset the baby or child’s home program and for parent/caregiver education.

As an occupational therapist Rena’ s background includes: BS degree, Trained in Neuro-Developmental  Treatment and extensive training in Sensory Integration,  TES-Threshold Electrical Stimulation Practitioner, Behavior Techniques, and she  has been a CIMI® for the last 10 years and found infant massage to be a great asset to her therapy practice. She has enjoyed teaching parent/caregiver classes, therapist’s classes, giving presentations to local groups, setting up booths at health fairs and community events. She has had the opportunity to meet various cultures of people and has enjoyed this aspect of her career. She looks forward to training in her local area and expanding to other states and area of interests.

Her husband Norman has joined her private practice team in administration. He performs all upkeep in technology and updates. He will be assisting in infant massage training classes. He is excited to be part of the team. Their dogs Oscar & Emmy have loved massage from the start as puppies and now. Emmy is a trained pet partners and READ dog. They both love children.
